Softball Club Nears 100 Students

The Albany Law Softball Club, which has grown from one team to four teams since its inception in 2007, expects to add a fifth team and top 100 players during the fall 2010 semester.

Currently, more than 70 students play for the club's four coed teams, which compete in the Capital Region's largest softball league against local companies and other academic institutions.

The softball club also competes in the three-day UVA Law Softball Invitational at the University of Virginia School of Law, which raised $23,000 for charity this past spring while hosting a record 120 teams from 53 law schools.
