Podali '15 Lands Corporate Law Position with Baker Botts in Houston

When she graduates from Albany Law in eight months, Ruchira Podali will move back to Houston to work in the corporate law division of Baker Botts L.L.P., a 700-attorney firm with 15 offices around the world.

Podali spent her summer with Baker Botts in the firm’s corporate and environmental divisions, working on SEC filings and interacting closely with clients.

“At Baker Botts, I was able to directly counsel clients on EPA regulations and other matters, which is a wonderful experience to have as a summer associate,” Podali said.

Baker Botts traces its history to Houston in the 1840s, representing railroads, cotton merchants and other nascent industries in the city’s early days. Today, the firm represents energy, technology, life science and other clients around the globe.
