Skinner '09 Named Director of LGBT Bar of Greater New York

Matthew Skinner '09 was recently named executive director of the LGBT Bar Association of Greater New York, also known as LeGaL.

Prior to joining LeGaL as the organization's secretary and second vice president, Skinner was a litigation associate at Proskauer Rose LLP and clerked for the Honorable Richard K. Eaton at the U.S. Court of International Trade.

When announcing Skinner's appointment, the board of directors for LeGaL said that it "anticipates announcing shortly many exciting new programs and partnerships currently being spearheaded by Matt. These programs and partnerships will strengthen LeGaL's role in the LGBT and legal communities in the tri-state area, while also affording our members greater opportunities for participation."

LeGaL is one of the nation’s first bar associations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) legal community and one of the largest and most active organizations of its kind in the country.
