Gootee ’04 Joins Loeb & Loeb’s NYC Office as Partner

Lisa A. Gootee ’04 is “excited to join the ranks” at Loeb & Loeb LLP, where she was recently hired as a partner in the real estate department of the firm’s New York City office.

In a statement, Gootee said the move “presented an attractive opportunity for me to enhance and expand my practice.” At Loeb & Loeb, Gootee will focus on matters concerning commercial real estate finance. She also has experience with hotel and other commercial property acquisitions.

“Lisa is a smart and talented transactional attorney whose market knowledge and deal making skills will be a terrific asset to our clients,” said department chair Raymond A. Sanseverino, noting her “substantial experience in real estate financings, acquisitions and developments.”

Gootee was previously with the international corporate law firm Haynes & Boone. Before that she worked as counsel to the New York State Homeless Housing and Assistance Corporation and was an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.

Gootee is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and Albany Law School, where she graduated magna cum laude. As a student, she was an associate editor of the Albany Law Review.

Loeb & Loeb also has offices in Los Angeles, Chicago, Nashville, Washington, D.C., Beijing, and Hong Kong.
