Learn more about the pillars of We Rise Together: The Campaign for Albany Law School.

Indpendence Pillar Logo

INDEPENDENCE. TOGETHER.

We will build a robust scholarship endowment to continue our tradition of attracting, retaining, and bringing together the best students from a variety of backgrounds.

Our independence was forged when we came together. Our founding as an independent law school began when three leading lawyers of their day joined to create an educational program that combines principles and application, knowledge and experience. But with that independence comes reliance on your support to build a robust scholarship endowment and continue our tradition of attracting, retaining, and bringing together the best students from a variety of backgrounds.

INNOVATION. IN COMMON.

We will give leadership the funds and the flexibility to create innovative programming, infuse technology into the curriculum, and build a law school for the future.

The diverse students who come to Albany Law and the graduates who leave share the unique benefits of our innovative curriculum that prepares them for careers in law, business, health, public interest and government, and the new economy. Funds will improve our technological infrastructure and academic facilities to prepare students for the changing legal landscape, the dynamic economy, and our complex society.

Our educational philosophy has always embraced the principles of practical experience and service to others. Together, they magnify the impact our graduating professionals have on the legal field and on society. We will fund our Government Law Center and The Justice Center. The Justice Center's in-house clinics, pro bono efforts, and field placement programs give students critical experience and provide needed legal service to military veterans, immigrants, refugees, hospice patients, domestic violence survivors, LGBTQ+ persons, and others. Our Community Development Clinic further contributes to our region by supporting grassroots development initiatives in underserved communities.

Do your little bit of good

Desmond Tutu said, “Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”

Through We Rise Together: The Campaign for Albany Law School, you have your opportunity to do your little bit of good. Together we can have an overwhelming impact on the students, faculty, and future direction of Albany Law School. And the world.
