Reciprocity Policy

The Career and Professional Development Center at Albany Law School engages in reciprocal service arrangements for students and alumni of ABA-accredited law schools. Such services are provided on the following basis:

1. Reciprocity requests are considered individually and are generally granted on a one-to-one basis. The Career and Professional Development Center reserves the right to suspend access by students or graduates of law schools whose requests for reciprocity become substantially disproportionate to Albany Law School’s requests.
2. A written request for services from an authorized representative of the requesting student's/graduate's law school career office must be received in advance.
3. Services are available for a period of three (3) months following the receipt of the letter of request.
4. Reciprocity candidates will be granted the following services ONLY to the extent that the reciprocating school provides in-kind services:
5. Access to online job listings, available through our password-protected job board, AlbanyLaw Link.  Guest accounts are created as “browse-only;” guests cannot upload documents or apply for job listings directly from AlbanyLaw Link.
6. Reciprocity guests are not eligible to participate in on-campus interviews or resume referral programs.
7. Services do not include career coaching/counseling, resume, or cover letter reviews.  
8. Reciprocity is suspended during our summer/fall recruiting season from July 1st through November 15th.
9. If any problems arise with a guest, we reserve the right to notify the requesting school and terminate his/her reciprocity privileges.
