The Donna Jo Morse Competitions involve client counseling and negotiation skills. The Client Counseling competition promotes greater knowledge and interest among law students in the counseling function of law practice. It simulates a law office consultation that presents a typical client problem. Competitors participate in pairs. They are expected to interview and advise the client, elicit relevant information, outline the problem, and propose a solution. Following the interview, competitors complete a brief self-critique.
