HR Professionals are being asked to take on a greater role with respect to the impact of Title IX in the workplace. In some organizations and institutions, HR professionals are asked to serve as Title IX Coordinator and may be involved in implementing the organization's Title IX policy. This course will explore the requirements of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 with a focus on compliance from an HR perspective. Students will explore policies and procedures related to reporting and responding to claims, including investigation procedures and the role of the Title IX coordinator. This graduate-level course exposes students to the ever changing legal landscape of Title IX and the practical development and implementation of an effective and efficient Title IX program.
