Intro to Law & Legal Methods

For students who have not completed a law degree prior to commencing their graduate program, this course will provide the foundational skills and knowledge regarding the legal system, laws, principles, and legal writing. The course will examine the American legal system and sources of law and introduce the student to skills that allow them to extract and evaluate relevant information from legal sources. Students will be encouraged to think critically about legal issues and effectively communicate legal analysis within the IRAC paradigm. This course is required for students starting the certificate or master's (MSLS) programs.
