Managing a workforce across international borders requires navigating global labor and employment law that can vary wildly across the regions. Students will learn globally-effective strategy and to partner with general counsel and other senior leaders to solve the organization's more difficult problems. Students will explore substantive law for the major stages of the workplace lifecycle, connecting legal compliance issues within each stage with business and people strategy. These are the tools that position HR professionals to elevate their profiles and the value of their contributions in global organizations. A global organization cannot thrive without a strong HR professional at its leadership table. The students who take this course will be empowered to join the leadership table, or raise their profiles as stakeholders at the table, and lead on issues impacting the people within their organizations.
