Students will explore the legal, policy, and practice obstacles to Ending Gender-Based Violence in light of the United States' National Plan and of Supreme Court cases regarding federal action. Students will conduct a relevant research project either in partnership with a governmental or community organization or on a project agreed upon between the Professor and the student. Students will be required either individually or in group to document the time spent on the selection of and work of the research project, participate in classroom discussion , prepare answers to discussion questions, deliver an oral presentation on the project and submit a final document to the Professor, and, if relevant, the community partner.
