Surveys legal approaches to employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), disability, and age. Examines Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and other federal civil rights statutes, as well as similar New York State and New York City laws.
