Study Abroad
Both J.D. and LL.M. students may take advantage of study abroad opportunities offered at Albany Law. The study abroad programs aim to create partnerships with international law schools for the exchange of faculty and students that enrich both the academic and cultural communities of each institution.
Law Firm Summer Internships in Europe and Latin America
The New York State Bar Association's International Section and Albany Law School are offering summer internships at law firms in European and Latin American cities. The internships last from four to eight weeks. The participating law firms will provide the student intern with mentoring and introductory-level work experience. These experiences will vary; in the past student interns have fulfilled work assignments in various business, commercial and financial matters. It may be possible, depending upon particular circumstances, to get academic credit for the internships. While internships are unpaid, NYSBA will consider requests for financial assistance. Many of the participating law firms will provide housing and some meal support for the duration of the internship. Locations for the Summer 2018 Law Student International Internship Program currently include Vienna, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, and Panama City.
