Albany Law School has one of the top health law programs in the nation, according to preLaw magazine.

Albany Law received an ‘A’ rating in the fall 2022 issue, one of 15 to receive the rank, including Duke University, Penn State University (Dickinson), and Hofstra University (Deane) and above schools such as Boston University, Yale University , and Villanova University (Widger).

“As the health care industry continues to grow, health care law is evolving right along with it,” preLaw editors wrote.

Albany Law students have several opportunities to study the intersection of health and the law.

J.D. students can gain field experience, with real clients, in the Health Law Clinic, through a Field Placement, and/or the Semester-In-Practice Programs which are all part of The Justice Center at Albany Law School.

Students can earn two degrees simultaneously through the Dual J.D./M.S. in Bioethics program in conjunction with the Alden March Bioethics Institute at Albany Medical College.

Through the school’s Online Graduate Programs, working professionals with or without any legal background can advance their careers with an LL.M, Master's and Advance Certificate through its fully-online Health Law and Healthcare Compliance Program.
