Online Programs in Government Affairs and Advocacy

** Launching in Spring 2022 **

Located in the seat of state government, Albany Law School is uniquely situated near the heart of the Capitol, which gives it a unique perspective on the working of government affairs, advocacy and lobbying. While a JD degree is often held by lobbyists, lobbyists need not possess a JD degree to engage in government advocacy. With a guided course of study in select areas that prepare a student for a core understanding of the law of government affairs, advocacy, and lobbying, an individual could begin a career in the field of lobbying, on state and local government platforms in New York State as well as other geographic areas. The program has been designed to prepare a masters or LLM student with the requisite knowledge and skills to enter the dynamic field of lobbying.

From Spring 2022*, the school will offer an online graduate program in Government Affairs and Advocacy. For information on this program, email graduateadmissions@albanylaw.edu.
