Biography
Samantha Ferdinand-Davis is a New York State licensed attorney with a bachelors from the City College of the City University of New York in Finance and a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School. She also earned a certification as a regulatory compliance manager (“CRCM”) through the American Bankers Association.
Beginning her banking career in 2003 at Washington Mutual, she progressed through various mortgage banking positions to establish a successful career as a regulatory compliance and risk management professional. As a 15+ year banking, risk, and compliance veteran, Samantha has extensive experience turning around troubled financial institutions and fintech startups.
Currently serving as the Director of Compliance at the Municipal Credit Union, she leads a team of compliance professionals and attorneys who develop and maintain a robust compliance management system. Samantha continues implementing a culture of compliance and ethics through enterprise-wide compliance training and by creating sustainable policies, procedures, and processes. She firmly believes in the power of the team and believes in leadership through service and mentorship. Using this leadership platform, Samantha successfully mitigated operational and regulatory compliance risk factors while giving the organization the flexibility of growth and innovation.
