David C. Walker is the Director of Schaffer Law Library. He has served in numerous roles in legal education over the past decade, including work as a librarian and legal research and writing professor at Albany Law School, Charleston School of Law, and Lincoln Memorial University–Duncan School of Law, where he also directed the Lawyering Skills and Academic Success programs. Professor Walker clerked for the Honorable Deborah J. Venezia after receiving his Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law in Camden, N.J., and before receiving his Master of Library and Information Science from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J. His academic interests include the nature of legal authority in the American tradition, legal research as an analytical process, and the preservation and accessibility of legal information in the digital. He has served on numerous library-related non-profit boards and committees, and is currently serves as Vice President of NELLCO Law Library Consortium, Inc.
