Serena Joyce White-Lake joined Albany Law School in January 2020.
An attorney and licensed real estate broker, Serena teaches Real Estate Transactions at the law school. Her course covers the law involved in real estate transactions, and the state-sanctioned discriminatory housing policies which continue to divide America.
Previously, Serena clerked for two years for the New York State Court of Appeals, the State’s highest court. There, Serena drafted reports for all seven Judges of the court, analyzing issues of law in several practice areas, including constitutional, corporations, and real property tax law.
Serena then began working in the Employment Law Unit of a state executive agency. In this role, Serena works on various administrative matters related to workplace discrimination.
Serena is an active member of the New York State Bar Association, the Albany County Bar Association, and the Capital District Women's Bar Association.
Finally, Serena is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., wherein she serves the local and global community.
