Professor Isaac Mamaysky teaches in Albany Law School’s
Human Resources: Law, Leadership, and Policy Program, where his classes focus on the intersection of employment law, human resources, and management. He is also a member of the law school’s Online Graduate Programs Industry Advisory Council.
In addition to teaching, Isaac is a Partner in the national Employment and Human Resources practice of Potomac Law Group, where he provides strategic business advice to management teams and in-house attorneys across a variety of industries. His clients range from multinational corporations and prominent educational institutions to large nonprofits and privately held companies.
Isaac advises clients on business conduct and corporate ethics, conducts internal investigations, leads significant negotiations, drafts complex commercial contracts, writes and assesses employee handbooks, and ensures compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. Isaac is also well-versed in crisis management and crisis communication. He supports senior managers, and often coordinates teams of attorneys, when clients face litigation and other unexpected and multidisciplinary legal challenges.
In addition to publishing on various corporate, management, and employment law topics, Isaac is the author of the book
Letter to a One L Friend (Carolina Academic Press, 2019), which helps students navigate the challenges of law school. With a deep sense of gratitude to the many professors who shaped his professional path, Isaac is passionate about teaching, connecting with students, and advising them on professional life beyond the classroom.
