Professor Jasmine Norman comes to Albany Law School from the New York State Department of State where she serves as a Senior Licensing Attorney for the Division of Licensing Services and represents the State of New York in disciplinary and application hearings against occupational license holders, companies and applicants.
Prior to her employment with the Department of State, Professor Norman served as an Assistant Conflict Defender for the Schenectady County Office of the Conflict Defender where she represented a diverse group of clients in family court custody, visitation, family offense and neglect proceedings as well as criminal court matters.
Professor Norman is a graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Law where she was the 2014 Suzanne E. Tompkins Women Children and Social Justice Advocacy Fellowship Award Recipient and the Minority Bar Association of Western New York 2014 Commencement Award recipient.
