Professor Moore joined the Albany Law School faculty in 1983 after completing her judicial clerkship with the Honorable Louis H. Pollak of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Before attending law school, she worked for several years as a critical-care nurse, and she has drawn on that experience in her teaching and public-service activities (vice-chair of Albany Medical College’s Committee on Research Involving Human Subjects (1988-2000); member of the board of directors and executive committee of the Health Systems Agency of Northeastern New York (1991-1996)). After serving as the Law School’s Associate Dean for Student Affairs (1996-1999) and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (1999-2005), Professor Moore returned to full-time teaching in July 2005; she received Albany Law School's Excellence in Teaching award in 2008.
Professor Moore’s research interests include torts and health-care law. Her most recent publication is Please Watch Your Language!: The Chronic Problem of Assumption of Risk, 61 Catholic University Law Review 175 (2011); her work in progress concerns the accountability of professional schools to their graduates and members of the public.
