Bar Admission Ceremony

The U.S. Supreme Court Bar Admission Ceremony is a special moment as alumni are admitted into the U.S. Supreme Court!

Important:To qualify for admission to the Bar of this Court, an applicant must have been admitted to practice in the highest court of a State, Commonwealth, Territory or Possession, or the District of Columbia for at least three years immediately before the date of application; must not have been the subject of any adverse disciplinary action pronounced or in effect during that 3-year period; and must appear to the Court to be of good moral and professional character.

Information regarding the admission:

• Admission Fee is $200
• You may only bring 1 guest with you to the admission. 
• Admission requires:
    - Completed application (application must be typed the printed out)
    - Signatures by two (2) U.S. Supreme Court sponsors (wet signatures are required on the printed out application)
    - A Certificate of Good Standing from your state supreme court or highest court.

Schedule of Events

• 8:00 a.m. – Arrive at U.S. Supreme Court and Security Check
• 8:15 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. – Breakfast at U.S. Supreme Court
• 8:30 – 10 a.m. – Meeting with USSC Admission Staff
• 10 a.m. – Admission Ceremony
