The Albany Law School Latin American Law Students Association (LALSA) will be hosting its annual Heritage Dinner on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. The primary component of this event is a panel discussion on a legal issue currently facing the legal community which also impacts the general public. The theme for this year is “Diversity: The Road to the Bench.”
A panel of judges will lead a discussion to engage law students, legal professionals, and the community at large in an exchange about the importance of diversifying the legal profession from a judicial perspective. We aim to explore the experiences and obstacles faced by judges coming from diverse backgrounds, as well as the potential impact diversity may have on the justice system.
