Six dedicated Albany Law School community members will be honored by the Northeast Black Law Student Association in February.  They are:

 

  • Sonia Bennett ’20, Associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer 
     
  • Jermaine Cruz, Associate Dean for Inclusive Excellence and Enrollment Management at Albany Law School 
     
  • Kyra Gainswith ’22, Associate at Barclay Damon
     
  • The Honorable Teneka Frost ’02, Schenectady City Court Judge
     
  • The Honorable Ricja Rice ’05, Albany Family Court Judge
     
  • The Honorable Christina L. Ryba ’01, Justice of the Supreme Court of New York’s Third District & Trustee at Albany Law School

They will be honored along with 51 other Black legal professionals in the Northeast at the 57th Most Influential Black Attorneys in the Northeast Awards on February 7 in Boston, Massachusetts. 


The National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA), founded in 1968, is a nationwide organization formed to articulate and promote the needs and goals of Black law students and effectuates change in the legal community. It is the largest law student organization in the country with more than 6,000 members.
