David Rozen '10 was recently recognized with the American Bar Association (ABA) Law Student Division (LSD) Star of the Division Award. Currently the Second Circuit Governor of the Student Division, Rozen represents New York state's 15 law schools within the Circuit, addressing their concerns and interests to the national board. He also chairs the Law Student Divisions's Legislative Advocacy Committee.

"It's a lot of work beyond law school, but I like to work," Rozen says, smiling, adding that he's made it through the toughest parts of law school and now sees the end in sight. "I have to get through this year and then buckle down for the Bar Exam."

The Star of the Division is awarded to members for exceptional service to the national organization. Rozen received the award at the Fall Board of Governors Meeting in Chicago in late October.

At a previous meeting of the Division, Rozen, an Hauppauge, Long Island, native, urged the Assembly—comprised of SBA presidents and ABA representatives from all 199 ABA approved law schools—to support admittance for a mental health initiative, which they passed unanimously.

"I'm interested in government and policy work," he said, noting that he is attempting to line up a position for after graduation. "I have pending applications for several government offices, lobby firms, and clerkships."
