Upcoming Anderson Programs will be held virtually via zoom and dates TBD

2021 Programs Topics
Wednesday, March 10 at 12pm: Program Two: The Future of Sports Wagering in New York.  The second program will focus will examine these proposals to see how and if mobile sports wagering can be authorized in New York.

Program Three: Reforming the Electoral Process.  The third program will look at possible reforms of the state's electoral process. There have been many changes in the way New Yorkers have voted in the last two years, but these changes have caused unforeseen difficulties in carrying out our elections. There is general agreement that changes are now needed to improve our system for casting and counting votes. The program will consider the many changes that have been proposed.

Program Four: Governor's Authority During Emergencies.  The fourth and final program will consider the Governor's authority to issue executive orders suspending or modifying statutory law during periods of emergency. We have witnessed how this has worked during the unanticipated current health emergency, and there will certainly be discussion of how this should work in any future emergency. This program is intended to be part of that discussion.
