The Contemporary Legal Education Reform "Canon"

The legal education reform movement has both culminated in, and has been advanced by several recent publications, including Best Practices for Legal Education and Educating Lawyers (a.k.a the Carnegie Report). These publications, among others, are widely considered cornerstones of the contemporary reform movement:

  • The Carnegie Report, Executive Summary
  • American Bar Association Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar
    • The Legal Education Analysis & Reform Network (LEARN)
Steering Committee Memo, March 5, 2009

  • LEARN Planned Projects 09-10

Reform Initiatives by Category and Institution

  • Harvard Law School Beyond the Case Method - Harvard Law Bulletin
  • American Association of Law Schools (AALS) - Committee on Curriculum
