The Saratoga Institute for Equine, Racing and Gaming Law at the Government Law Center of Albany Law School serves as the world’s first legal training center for the equine, racing and gaming industries. The Saratoga Institute is dedicated to preparing new lawyers to serve within these highly regulated, complex and economically vibrant global industries.

Albany Law School is the only U.S. law school with such an academic program in these fields, encompassing a Concentration in Equine, Racing and Gaming Law, as well as a wide range of internships and field placements, where students learn about careers in these multi-billion dollar industries. The Saratoga Institute also serves as a resource center informing legal practice inside these fields. In addition our expertise prepares government professionals to navigate these highly regulated industries.

Located a short distance from Saratoga Springs, N.Y., home to the world-renowned Saratoga Race Course and the Saratoga Casino and Raceway, The Saratoga Institute for Equine, Racing and Gaming Law is devoted to enriching the study of the law and policy aspects of gaming, including horse racing (and all industries that support the sport), Indian gaming, lotteries and charitable gaming.
