Saratoga CLE Series: Supreme Court Update 2024

Professor Vin M. Bonventre will deliver his annual Supreme Court update in this year's CLE in Saratoga Series in Saratoga Springs, NY. Prof. Bonventre will survey the major decisions of the immediate past term and highlight the patterns in the voting records of the Justices and in the decisional record of the Court as a whole. In doing so, he will explore the extent to which the ideological and jurisprudential direction of the Court, underscored by the preceding term’s Dobbs decision and the continuing 6-3 partisan divide—unchanged by Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s replacement of Justice Stephen Breyers—was reflected in the Court’s decisions.
