Professor Rose Rameau Appointed to Prestigious International Arbitration Panel

Albany Law School Professor Rose Rameau has been appointed to the Panel of Arbitrators of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), one of the world’s leading international arbitration institutions and the principal arbitral institution in China.

Following a review by the CIETAC Arbitrator Qualification Review Committee and the CIETAC Chairmen’s Council, Rameau was admitted to the panel effective May 1, 2026. Her five-year term will run through April 30, 2031.

CIETAC plays a critical role in resolving international commercial and investment disputes involving parties from around the globe. The commission’s panel is composed of experienced practitioners and scholars from numerous jurisdictions, reflecting the increasingly interconnected nature of international commerce and dispute resolution.

“This appointment is a tremendous honor,” Professor Rameau said. “International arbitration continues to play an increasingly important role in resolving complex cross-border disputes, and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the work of an institution that serves parties from around the world. A recognized scholar in international law and arbitration, Rameau’s appointment further strengthens Albany Law School’s presence in the international legal arena. Through her teaching, scholarship, and service, she continues to engage with some of the most significant legal issues facing the global community and helps prepare students to navigate an increasingly interconnected world.
