The Registrar's Office handles all aspects of registration and examinations, as well as student loan deferments, VA benefits, bar certifications, optional practical training for our international students, and academic transcripts.

To Request Transcripts
Alumni
Please fill out the
Alumni Transcript Request Form and mail it to our office at the address below. There is a $3 charge for each transcript requested. Once the transcript request form and payment are received, we will process the request. There is no charge for transcripts sent to a state bar. There is no charge to have your transcript sent to Albany Law School's Admissions Office.
Students
Current students may request official transcripts using WebAdvisor or by filling out the appropriate form in the Registrar's Office. Current students are entitled to one free transcript per semester. After that, there is a $3 charge for each transcript. Transcripts will be available for pick up within two business days after submission of the request.
Registration
The Registrar's Office assigns first-year schedules to students. Beginning with the third semester, students select courses in accordance with the guidelines for their specific academic programs. Details of graduation requirements for each program are outlined in the Student Handbook.
The Registrar's office designates the registration period for each semester and provides students with procedures and deadlines for course selections. Each student must complete a legal ethics course, a professional skills course (beginning with the class of '08), and satisfy the upper class writing assignment to earn a J.D. degree from Albany Law School.

FERPA
The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 Albany Law School annually informs students of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, as it is amended. This Act, with which the institution intends to comply fully, was designated to protect the privacy of educational records. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords students certain rights with respect to their educational records.

Visitors to Albany Law School
Thank you for your interest in visiting Albany Law School. Below is a list of the documents that we require from any students requesting to visit at our law school:
- A letter from you requesting to visit here
- A letter from your law school allowing you to visit here. It also needs to indicate that you are in good standing and the acceptable transfer grades
- A copy of your law school transcript
- Proof of immunizations (2 Measles, 1 Mumps, 1 Rubella, Meningitis - optional) per NY State Health Dept. regulations
