Professor Raymond H. Brescia

Professor Raymond H. Brescia is among the newly selected academic fellows of the Pound Civil Justice Institute, a national legal think tank that works to ensure access to justice for citizens and provide a balanced view of the issues affecting the U.S. civil justice system.

The Pound Institute's academic fellows keep the organization and its trustees "abreast of the latest legal trends and assist the Institute in maintaining a relevant, meaningful dialogue with the nation's courts and law schools." In its ranks are leading scholars and administrators from law schools across the country.

Professor Brescia is Albany Law School's Hon. Harold R. Tyler Chair in Law and Technology. His scholarly interests address economic and social inequality; the legal and policy implications of financial crises; how innovative legal and regulatory approaches can improve economic and community development efforts, especially in light of technological change; and the need to expand access to justice for people of low and moderate income, particularly through the use of technology.
