Albany Law School will pay tribute to Morris ‘Marty' Silverman-a 1936 graduate and tireless promoter of the Capital Region and Albany Law-whose generous donations and vision played an instrumental part in forming today's University Heights campus.

A Troy, N.Y. native, Silverman's contributions to Albany Law School include establishing the Dean Alexander Moot Courtroom and the 2000 Building, in addition to various other projects.

Silverman died Thursday, Jan. 26, at the age of 93.

"Marty changed Albany and Albany Law School with his vision and energy," said Helen Adams-Keane, vice president of Institutional Advancement. "He had an impact on so many of our students and alumni, and still remains one of the Law School's most generous benefactors."

Please join the Albany Law School community in celebrating the life and contributions of Silverman on Tuesday, April 4, at 4 p.m. in the 1928 Building's West Wing. A reception will follow in the East Foyer.
