The Law School community is saddened by the passing of Edgar Sandman ’46, a great friend of the law school, a longtime member of the Board of Trustees, a former Board Chair, and an honorary degree recipient. Albany Law School offers its condolences to the entire Sandman family.

The Edgar and Margaret Sandman Fellowship Program, established in 1992, will not only memorialize the Sandman family, it will continue to benefit students for generations. For more than 20 years, Sandman Fellows have produced in-depth legal research that has affected policy and court decisions, largely around aging and health law.

Numerous recipients of the Fellowship have stated that their entire career was launched from their Fellowship experience.

The family asks that contributions in his memory be made to support the Edgar and Margaret Sandman Fellowship.

You may make a contribution online or contact Institutional Advancement at alumni@albanylaw.edu or 518-445-3213.
