Albany Law, NYSBA Announce Locations for 2018 International Internship Program
The New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) International Section and Albany Law School recently announced the 2018 Law Student International Internship Program, which has secured summer internships for U.S. law students in law firms in: Buenos Aires, Argentina; Vienna, Austria; Mexico City, Mexico; Sao Paolo, Brazil; and Panama City, Panama. More locations may be added in the coming weeks.
The four- to eight-week internships are available to current 2L and 3L students. The participating law firms will provide the student intern with mentoring and hands-on work experience.
Previous student interns—including Erin Kilmer ’18 (Vienna) and Anthony DeMarco ’17 (Costa Rica)—have fulfilled work assignments in various business, commercial, and financial matters. They have participated in client meetings, prepared and reviewed legal documents, conducted research, and assisted with the firms’ English language legal and marketing materials.
The Law Student International Internship Program is part of a larger study abroad program offered by Albany Law, where, in the past, students have studied in China, France, South Africa, and other countries.
