While the Court of Appeals now requires 50 hours of law-related volunteer work from every student, dozens of Albany Law School students logged 100s of hours, some reaching beyond 750 hours, or nearly 19 weeks of full-time service.
Student-led pro bono work and Clinic activity included:
"For many students, this is the first time they interact with clients, and experience the power of helping someone by using their legal skills," said Ted De Barbieri, the director of the Community Development Clinic who also heads the student pro bono programs.
