Justin Rutherford '13 and Yaasha Sabbaghian '13 placed second out of 24 teams at the regional round of the ABA's Negotiation Competition held at Quinnipiac University School of Law on Jan. 19 and 20, 2013. The pair will represent Albany Law School at the national competition in Dallas next month.

A second team from Albany Law, Katerina Kramarchyk '13 and Gregory Pratt '14, also performed well in the competition. James Gundlach '13 was the student coach for both teams, and Professors Maurer and Taranto served as faculty advisors.

Each year, the ABA Law Student Division Negotiation Competition promotes greater interest among law students in legal negotiation and provides a means for them to practice and improve their negotiating skills. The competition simulates legal negotiations in which law students, acting as lawyers, negotiate a series of legal problems.
