Message From Dean Ouellette - Delta variant

July 30, 2021

Members of the Albany Law Community,

As you likely have seen in the news, a newer strain of COVID-19 called the Delta variant is causing concern across the U.S.   As health experts learn more about the highly contagious variant, guidance regarding necessary safety measures is evolving.

The Albany Law School Public Health and Safety Committee is closely monitoring the data and guidance from the CDC and other public health authorities to ensure we are taking necessary measures to keep our community safe.  At this time, the Committee is not making any changes to law school policy.  Starting August 16, vaccines will be required for all employees and students except those who have been granted an approved medical or religious exemption.  We are awaiting guidance on protocols for fully vaccinated communities, and will make decisions consistent with guidance from the CDC and other public health authorities.  We will be in touch regularly to let you know of any developments.

Stay safe.

- Alicia Ouellette, President and Dean
