Donna Snyder currently provides legal advice to Vice Presidents for Corporate Contracts and Government Finance. She advises the SVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary and the C-Suite executives on contractual matters and high-risk pursuits. Ms. Snyder supports and counsels VP for Global Supply Chain; oversees and supports a team of global supply chain lawyers establishing global terms and conditions for top suppliers as part of 1LMX. She supports and supervises the Vice President of International Trade Compliance and the Corporate International Trade Compliance Office. Ms. Snyder serve as the corporation’s Chief Privacy Officer, overseeing and managing all phases of the corporation’s global data privacy program in addition to being the lead counsel for 1LMX.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Snyder was the vice President and General Counsel for Lockheed Martin Government Affairs, where she provided legal support to Lockheed Martin Government Affairs – who are responsible for the corporation’s engagement of the U.S. Congress and Executive Branch officials. Ms. Snyder advised on laws affecting corporate political activities, to include compliance with federal, state, and local lobbying laws, and campaign finance laws. She also served as Secretary of Lockheed Martin Employees’ Political Action Committee.
Prior to her Government Affairs role, Ms. Snyder was the Director & Associate General Counsel – International Trade Compliance at Lockheed Martin, where she supported the Corporate International Trade Compliance Office (CITCO), advising on issues relating to compliance with U.S. and international trade laws and regulations. She also served as an Assistant General Counsel with Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training (MST), in Owego, New York, where she provided legal advice on all Advanced Products Solutions (APS) market segment programs within the Ships and Aviation Systems (SAS) Line of Business. She previously served as site counsel for Lockheed Martin’s United Kingdom Integrated Systems (LM UKIS) market segment. As site counsel, she was responsible for providing legal support on programs, human resources, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and ethics.
Ms. Snyder served on active duty as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) in the United States Air Force. She was Chief Counsel, MILSATCOM Programs while assigned to ESC/JA, Office of the Staff Judge Advocate at Hanscom Air Force Base. As Chief Counsel she advised the program office on multi-billion dollar development, acquisition and sustainment of integration of United States Air Force and joint Department of Defense satellite communication terminals. She was the lead attorney for numerous source selections including Family of Advanced Beyond-Line-of-Site Terminals (FAB-T), a $299 million program; she successfully represented the Air Force in bid protests (B-291449-Raytheon) and hearings before the General Accounting Office (GAO). Additionally, Donna represented the Air Force in litigation before the ASBCA. Donna entered active duty as a Contract Specialist for the B-2 and C-17 System Program Offices at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
After a twenty-three year career, Donna retired at the rank of Colonel from the Air Force reserves on 1 October 2022. Donna is admitted to practice law in New York, Connecticut, and as Corporate Counsel in Virginia. She received her JD from Albany Law School of Union University and a BA from Baylor University. Donna is married to Michael T. Snyder, Esq. ’99 and they have three sons.
