Mary Walsh Fitzpatrick

Mary Walsh Fitzpatrick joined the Albany Law School Career and Professional Development Center in September 2015 following seven years as an Associate Director of the Office of Career and Professional Development at Brooklyn Law School. Ms. Walsh Fitzpatrick received her BA from Binghamton University and her JD from Brooklyn Law School. She spent five years as a litigation associate with a firm in New York City, where she represented commercial building owners in complex leasing and litigation matters. She has since dedicated her career to finding, generating and creating opportunities for law students and graduates alike. Ms. Walsh Fitzpatrick is admitted to practice in New York and is a member of the Capital District Women’s Bar Association and the Albany County Bar Association.

Joanne Casey

Joanne Casey has been advising Albany Law School students and alumni since October 1993.  During her 22 years with the Career and Professional Development Center, Ms. Casey has established strong relationships with alumni and employers. In addition to counseling students, Ms. Casey also facilitates career education programs, tracks employment statistics of graduates, and helps students make the transition from law school student to law school graduate. Before earning the role of Director, Ms. Casey served as Recruiting Associate and Assistant Director.  She received her BA from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and her Master’s in Counseling from the College of Saint Rose.  Prior to joining Albany Law School, Ms. Casey worked in the Center for Career & Professional Development at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Colleen O'Byrne

Colleen O’Byrne joined the Albany Law School Career and Professional Development Center in December 2014 and has worked in career development and higher education for over 29 years. At Albany Law, Colleen provides career counseling and coaching for individual students, recent graduates and alumni. In addition, she develops and facilitates programs to engage and foster career and professional development skills for Albany Law graduates. Prior to joining Albany Law School, Ms. O’Byrne was the Associate Director for Employer Relations for Boston University’s Center for Career Development, and previously served as the Acting Director for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s Center for Career and Professional Development. Colleen received her M.Ed. degree in Counselor Education from The Pennsylvania State University (University Park) and her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Oswego.

Meg Wager

Meg Wager has been working with the students and alumni of Albany Law School for 27 years. She is the office liaison for employers seeking to hire for the academic-year, summer and post-graduate positions. In addition to overseeing our spring and fall interview programs, Meg advises students, recent graduates and alumni conducting job searches and participates in professional development programming. Prior to joining Albany Law School, Meg interned with Hinman Straub P.C. as a Legal Office Assistant. She has also worked for Siena College’s Franciscan Center for Service and Advocacy where she connected students to volunteer and advocacy opportunities with various agencies and organizations throughout the Capital Region. She received her AAS from Maria College and her BS from SUNY Empire State College.
