Ms. Marsh Laurie recently retired from the global accounting firm KPMG LLP, where she had been an international tax principal in the New York office since 2016. While at KPMG, Laurie specialized in the financial services industry, including US and international banks and insurance companies, and was the International Tax Service Line Leader for the Banking and Capital Markets practice. In addition, Laurie led recruiting efforts for the NY Metro International Tax practice and was the co-leader of the International Tax People Initiative. Prior to joining KPMG, Laurie was international tax director, senior international tax counsel, and capital markets tax counsel at GE Capital, and before that was a tax partner in the NYC office of the global law firm McDermott Will & Emery LLP. Laurie began her career as a tax associate at the Connecticut law firm of Siegel, O'Connor, Schiff & Zangari and was subsequently a partner in the NYC office of the law firm Thelen Reid & Priest LLP.
In retirement, Laurie is looking forward to devoting time to a variety of interests, including running, biking, reading, baking, gardening and yoga, and to spending time with her family in NYC and Sag Harbor, NY.
Laurie serves on the Albany Law School Dean’s Leadership Council and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s Degree from Brown University and an LLM from the New York University School of Law.
