Prior to founding her own firm in early 2015, Ms. Arden Ornt most recently served as the Chief Legal Officer of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, an academic medical system leading the nation in patient-focused healthcare.

She also established the first Office of General Counsel at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and had earlier established the first university-wide Offices of General Counsel at both the University of Rochester and Case Western Reserve University.

At the University of Rochester, she also served as the General Counsel of the Medical Center and of Strong Health for fifteen years and served on the President's and Sr. Vice President of Health Care's senior leadership teams.

Based on her commitment to teaching, she also served on the School of Medicine and Dentistry's faculty where she specialized in health care law. She was named one of the Rochester Community's Top Twenty Women Leaders in the inaugural year of that award.

While at Case Western Reserve University, she served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of the Corporation in addition to serving as a member of the faculty in the School of Law. While in Cleveland, she was a member of Leadership Cleveland, was named to the William K. Thomas Inn of Court, initiated a symposium on international/global relations and a symposium on academic legal matters (both at Case Western Reserve University), and served on the board of directors of a number of non-profit organizations and as a member of the U.S. Marshall's Task Force (Cleveland, Ohio office). She also served as the President of the Board of Directors of Transitional Housing Inc., an organization dedicated to providing safe havens to end the cycle of homelessness of women in Cleveland, Ohio.

Before moving to in-house counsel, Ms. Arden-Ornt was a partner in a corporate law practice and specialized in health care and non-profit law. She has been a member of NACUA and AHLA, was a founding member of the Joint Commission's Sentinel Events Advisory Committee and served on the Advisory Council of the NIH's National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute from 2007-2011.

Ms. Arden-Ornt has spoken at seminars and symposiums nationwide on a wide range of legal issues, including health care, academia, and good governance of non-profit organizations. She is currently writing a book on the transition of homeless women to their communities.
