Albany Law's Centers provide countless opportunities for every student. The Government Law Center takes advantage of the School's location in New York's capital and the seat of state government. Through the Clinic & Justice Center they represent low-income clients in real cases. The Center for Law & Innovation involves students in legal concerns affecting high-tech fields.
The oldest
government law center in the United States, the GLC serves as a bridge
between government and academia, providing diverse services to government
leaders, public officials, students and the community. An Advisory Board,
comprised of the Albany Law School faculty, and leaders from the public,
private and non-profit sectors, assists the GLC's Director, Prof.
Patricia Salkin, in charting future initiatives. The Center draws
upon the expertise of faculty from Albany Law School and other academic
institutions who participate in a number of the Center's projects and
programs. Click here
