Incorporating a law degree with a graduate degree in another field is a powerful combination. At Albany Law, we collaborate with other colleges and universities to offer joint degrees in several fields. A joint degree offers greater levels of knowledge and insight, broadens your impact in your field, and can advance your career in many ways.

Study Abroad
Both J.D. and LL.M. students may take advantage of study abroad opportunities offered at Albany Law. The study abroad programs aim to create partnerships with international law schools for the exchange of faculty and students that enrich both the academic and cultural communities of each institution.

Nairobi International Summer Institute
Operated in partnership with Widener University School of Law, the Nairobi International Summer Institute offers course work in International Environmental Law and Trade, Comparative Constitutional Law, and Comparative Family Law during summer break.

International Human Rights Internship Program
The International Human Rights Internship Program provides students with funding with which to undertake summer legal internships outside the United States—a unique opportunity to put their legal education to work in real-life legal settings to broaden awareness of international law and opportunities for transnational practice. In 2003, Albany Law School students traveled to Ghana, Nigeria and India through this program.

University of Paris Exchange Program
The University of Paris Exchange Program gives Albany Law School students and faculty the opportunity to spend a semester abroad at the University of Paris Law School to study international and comparative law. University of Paris students may also visit the Law School for study in the LL.M. for Foreign Law Graduates program.
