Incorporating a law degree with a graduate degree in another field is a powerful combination. At Albany Law, we collaborate with other colleges and universities to offer joint degrees in several fields. A joint degree offers greater levels of knowledge and insight, broadens your impact in your field, and can advance your career in many ways.
From your first day at Albany Law School, you will begin to learn to be a lawyer. Our unique Introduction to Lawyering—a required first-year course that teaches you to think and perform as a lawyer—is only the beginning. From simulation cases to a competitive Moot Court Program and an award-winning Clinical Legal Studies Program, our "hands-on" curriculum offers the experience you need to build professional skills for a lifetime of career success and achievement.
The Juris
Doctor
Albany Law School offers three- and four-year programs
leading to a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. Though we emphasize the value of
a broad-based education, Albany Law School offers 14 concentrations for
students who wish to focus their fields of study on a particular area
of interest.
Joint Degree

Albany Law School offers joint degree programs in
cooperation with several local institutions. Joint degree offerings

Advanced Degrees
The LL.M.
Albany Law School offers an advanced law degree program—the Master
of Law and Letters. LL.M. candidates may specialize in:

- International Law
The LL.M.
for International Law Graduates
This LL.M. program is
designed for international law graduates who seek an academic program in
order to qualify for admission to the New York or other state
bar.
Both J.D. and advanced-study students may take advantage of Study Abroad Programs offered at Albany Law School.
