Regional chapters, located throughout New York state and the U.S., bring alumni together to socialize, network and build support for the Law School. In addition, alumni constituent groups have been organized around specific practice areas to encourage networking, provide mentoring for students, and to keep alumni up-to-date on timely issues.
Since 1851, Albany Law School has produced a long line of outstanding
legal practitioners, scholars and jurists, as well as distinguished
leaders in business and government. These include William McKinley, the
25th President of the United States; Robert H. Jackson and David J.
Brewer, Supreme Court Justices; Kate Stoneman, the first female member of
the New York State Bar; Thomas Vilsack, former Governor of Iowa and former
Presidential Candidate; Victoria Graffeo, New York State Court of
Appeals Judge; Mary O. Donohue, former New York State Lieutenant Governor;
and Richard D. Parsons, Time Warner CEO.
Every graduate of
Albany Law School is a member of the National Alumni Association (NAA)
which is comprised of an active and supportive body of alumni. The NAA is
governed by a Board of
Directors, and board
committees serve the School in an advisory and networking capacity in
areas such as career services, admissions recruitment and alumni
