The Fourth Annual Chief Judge Lawrence H. Cooke State Constitutional Commentary Symposium, hosted by the Albany Law Review, will cover "Wrongful Convictions: Understanding and Addressing Criminal Injustice" from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Albany Law School.
As opening speaker and moderator, New York Court of Appeals Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman will lead a discussion on the origins of and modern solutions to wrongful convictions. This timely event follows Chief Judge Lippman's recent appointment of a New York State Justice Task Force to study wrongful convictions.

In the spring of 2007, the Albany Law Review inaugurated an annual tradition of honoring former New York Court of Appeals Chief Judge Lawrence H. Cooke '38 by holding the State Constitutional Commentary Symposium in his name. The symposium provides a forum to explore issues and developments in state courts, state public law and state-federal relations.
