Tobacco-Free Campus Enforcement

Enforcement of the Albany Law School tobacco-free campus policy is the responsibility of the entire law school community. Students, faculty, staff and administrators are expected to fairly, politely and firmly engage in peer enforcement, and when required, report violations of the policy to supervisors or security staff.

Students, faculty and staff who view any individuals using tobacco should politely inform and remind them of Albany Law School's tobacco-free campus policy, and that the policy prohibits the use of any tobacco product on law school property. Individuals who do not feel comfortable approaching someone using tobacco should contact their department supervisor, security or an administrative office.

Violations of the Albany Law School tobacco-free campus policy will be addressed through corrective counseling and a progressive discipline process.
