Public Authority Training

Public Authority Training

With increased attention focused on public authorities, including the passage of the 2005 Public Authorities Accountability Act, the GLC launched a training program aimed at helping staff and board members of hundreds of state and local public authorities to better understand various authority governance issues. Approved by the state Authority Budget Office to provide this training, the GLC has offered numerous courses on governance, ethics and auditing/fiscal responsibilities. Conferences and substantive research projects further inform the continuing customization of the training curriculum.
