2011 - Clinical Legal Education Association's award for Excellence in a Public Interest Case, presented to Professor Bridgit Burke on behalf of the Civil Rights & Disabilities Law Clinic.

2010 - Albany Law School Distinguished Educator for Excellence in Service, presented to Professor Christine Scarlata Chung.

2010 - New York State Bar Association Angelo T. Cometa Award "recognizing excellence in lawyer referral and service which advances access to justice."  

2008 - Albany Family Court Children's Center Award "in recognition of her outstanding and tireless work assisting children and families in need and for her dedication to ensure that law students obtain the skills necessary to provide high quality and compassionate legal services to Family Court litigants," presented to Professor Melissa Breger.

2008 - New York State Department of Health chose Albany Law School Health Law Clinic Cancer Services Program as an Innovate Project.

2007 - Albany Law School Distinguished Educator for Excellence in Service, presented to Professor Joseph Connors. 

2007 - Albany Law School Distinguished Educator for Excellence in Teaching, presented to Professor Joseph Connors.

2007 - New York State Developmental Disability Planning Council Community Leader of the Year Award, presented to Professor Bridgit Burke.

2006 - New York State ARC's Hodgson/Jacobs Law Award for "demonstrating outstanding commitment to improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities," presented to Professor Nancy Maurer.

2006 - New York State Bar Association Denison Ray Criminal Defender Award "in recognition of her extraordinary commitment to effective representation of indigent criminal defendants," presented to Professor Laurie Shanks.

2005 - American Bar Association Judy M. Weightman Memorial Public Interest Award Finalist, presented to the Law Clinic & Justice Center.  

2005 - The Shanara Gilbert Award from the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) was presented to Professor Melissa Breger at the AALS Conference on Clinical Legal Education in Chicago. The prestigious national award recognizes emerging clinical law professors who demonstrate a commitment to teaching and achieving social justice, a passion for providing legal services and access to justice to individuals and groups most in need, and service to the field of clinical legal education.

2004 - Greater Upstate Law Project Award for Fair Hearing of the Month, presented to Professor Joseph Connors.

2004 - Legal Aid Society of New York 2004 Pro Bono Award for "outstanding service" to Legal Aid clients for her work on clemency for battered women, presented to Professor Mary Lynch. 

2003 - New York State Developmental Disabilities Planning Council Community Leader of the Year Award, presented to Professor Nancy Maurer.

1999 - New York State Bar Association Pro Bono Service Award presented to the Clinical Legal Studies Program at Albany Law School.

1999 - "Clinics that are making a difference" feature in National Jurist magazine.

1998 - Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York Distinguished Service Award - Private Attorney Involvement Program for "outstanding pro bono service to low income clients in the Capital District" presented to Professor Joseph Baum and the Albany Law School Litigation Project.

1997 - NOW's "Making Waves Award" for work on behalf of women, presented to Professor Mary A. Lynch.

1995 - New York State ARC's Hodgson/Jacobs Law Award for "outstanding interest and commitment to disability law," presented to Professor Joseph Connors.

1987 - Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York Distinguished Service Award "in honor of your dedicated and effective representation of poor people in Albany County in the quest for equal justice," presented to Professor Joseph Baum.

1987 - Parent Network Center Certificate for Merit presented to the Civil Rights & Disabilities Law Project at Albany Law School.
